Prestafolio is a loan and collections system for independent lenders and small finance companies across Latin America.
Why Prestafolio exists
The trade runs on notebooks and spreadsheets. And Excel holds up, until the portfolio grows: it does not calculate today’s arrears, it does not print a receipt the client can take away, it does not balance the drawer at the end of the day, it does not say what each collector brought in from the route and, above all, it tells you nothing about the new client sitting across from you.
Prestafolio was born from that: bringing into a system what the lender already does well, without asking them to change how they work. The same collection rhythms as always, the same receipt in the client’s hand, the same ledger, but balanced.
Who we serve
The lender who collects out on the route and runs their portfolio alone, and the one who already has a team of collectors and needs to know what happened to each one’s money.
We work in each country’s currency, in Spanish and English, and the product is built for how lending actually works in Latin America: it is not a system made for another market and translated afterwards.
How we build
Money is not handled casually
Every payment is unrepeatable even if the network fails, every mistake is reversed leaving a trace, every day closes with a cash count and every movement posts its accounting entry. There is no figure on screen that cannot be explained.
Your information is yours
You export your portfolio to CSV whenever you want, without asking permission. And if you are coming from a spreadsheet, you import it instead of typing it again.
Built on the trade, not on theory
The open loan, the four collection rhythms, arrears with grace days and the receipt printed on the spot are there because that is how lending actually works, not because they looked good on a feature list.
On trust and data
